All of the cultures that we have discussed in the course thus far have been quite fascinating, and important lessons can be drawn from each and every one of them. The culture that stands out to me the most, however, is the Maya culture. It is perhaps due to the considerable amount of similarities that occurred before the Mayan collapse and between the problems that the world we live in is facing today. The Mayas were an incredibly advanced, powerful, inventive and long-lasting culture. However, even with all of its advantages, faced with several political and ecological challenges, the Maya civilization could not survive the challenges that came their way.
