When it comes to customer service the costumers are always right and sometimes the customers can be hard to deal with. However, the key to having a successful customer service experience for the client no matter how their attitude might be is the employee way of handling it because at the end of the day we don’t want to lose a customer. Working at a multinational retail corporation like Wal-Mart employees can encounter many challenges. However, there are ways to ease the challenges by hiring the appropriate employees. Questions asked at the interviews, testing, and training they all play an important role when it comes to having a successful business that runs smoothly.

For example, when it comes to the electronic department. Even if the employee being hired has a background knowledge in electronic he or she still might not know all of the necessary information to inform successfully all of the clients. This is because technology is always changing and in this department, training is required frequently. To meet this challenge, businesses are involving employees in training programs to build necessary skills within an environment that encourages learning on the job (Khumala, 2001). Peer training each other could also be beneficial to both the company and the employees. For the company they can save money in training and for the employee they can establish bonds and better relationships with each other. Each department will benefit from monthly meetings to talk about if there is new information that they should know or learn from their departments. A well-informed employee doesn’t only benefit the client but also themselves and the company in general. We have to keep in mind that training is not something that we did and we are done with it, training is something that most be …show more content…
Wal-Mart can give a hand to the community by providing with supplies to shelters. Organizing food drives where the employees are the one giving out the food. Is key that the employees are involved in giving back to the community as well. The question is how can we bring all of the employees together to be part of it. Of course at first, not everyone is going to be willing to be part of it but however in the long run after they see the rewards they might be motivated to be part of it since individual’s desire to participate in an activity is moderated by both personality characteristics and self-perceptions of ability. Manipulations of self-efficacy perceptions could, in fact, influence willingness to volunteer (Credo, 2016). Those companies who encourage their employees to be part of the community are helping those employees to improve their customer service skills since they are practicing by interacting with others.
