Throughout your educational career everyone has meet a student that goes above and beyond to get good grades and learn. Also many students know the student that had no interest in education at all and either dropped out or slide by graduation requirements. The other idea is the teachers standards, not all teachers are the same. Some teacher can be very challenging and make the class possible to succeed in you want to work hard. And others are either giving out grades to people that do not deserve the grade. Also their are teachers that make the class very tough to succeed in by being very unorganized and then testing over material that has not been thoroughly discussed. The other discussed topic on to improve education is to improve funding. I agree teachers should be paid more for the work they do. And also many schools infrastructure needs to be improved. When i was in high school sports and visited many different high schools. The older high schools were falling apart and some even seemed like they care to provide the right accommodations to learn …show more content…
Teachers should be paid more than they are now to make the job more desireable. People seem to not like to say it but money is the largest way to persuade people, once students graduate high school they think about careers to follow and many look at the average salary. The average salary for a teacher in the public school system is 44,000. So they expect student go through college which cost on average 24,000 a year. So many students go to school to pursue higher paying careers, this is why their is a shortage in educational instructors. If teachers got paid more this would make the job more desired and may bring a higher standard to education. The blame is not all on the teachers, a majority of education on the student. Many students do not see the point of education at first, many students see education in a negative aspect and don't see the potential in learning. The best way to improve education in the state is to reach the students. Students need to not be treated like a number and need to have a closer relationship with their instructor. The instructor should also always been encouraging the students and never give up or be disrespectful to students. The class room sizes need to be reduced. When i was in highschool i remember on the first day of the year some class rooms were to packed that they didn't have enough desks for the students until the next week.

Education, as it is now, and as it may become, ideally promotes general welfare by equipping people with the tools they need to survive. It also promotes liberty by putting them in positions to do what they want with their lives. Either Transportation (2.7%/$103 billion – Document D) or Homeland Security (1.5%/$60 billion – Document D) could be shaved to buff Education, the reasoning being that we already have working transportation, and that certain parts of…

The world of education as we know it is a place built on a foundation that is surrounded by enigmas and empty promises. It is for this reason that America has yet to find an effective solution that works for schools nationwide that is “progressive” as well as “consistent” in the field of education. The articles and the book that we have read so far in class have left me a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I think about how far we have come and how many steps we continue taking backwards. The issues surrounding education seem to share the same common factors of race, high expectations, and hidden agendas.…

It is seen that many lower-funded schools pay teachers less, while higher-funded schools pay teachers more. This is another important aspect for me to take into consideration as a future educator. Although these observations are not always true, I feel that it is important for me to work in a district that one advocates for their students and two pays their teachers for what they expect out of them. Whether that be in an inner-city school…

In Kandice Sumner’s Ted Talk, How America's public schools keep kids in poverty, she passionately delivers a message about the “education debt” (Sumner, 2015) that many schools, especially those in poor neighborhoods are suffering from. Through her experience as a both a teacher and a student, she constructs an influential speech that argues that we need to help and change the school system, as to include kids of minority races and give equal opportunities to each and every student. Unlike some kids, I have lived outside of New Mexico, I have experienced different things, gone to different schools, and seen different cultures. I have seen the difference in resources, first-hand, in which some of the schools I have been to had many resources…
