I understand that every school counselor might have their own personality, experience, and attitude. I just wish that I work with school counselors who welcomes any new ideas, or at least know how to change any ideas without making me feel wrong. Having many years of experience as a counselor brings a lot of knowledge and I want to be able to learn and become an expert myself. I feel that I have to be able to separate personal feelings and strictly focus back on what is right for students. I feel that at first, I may be more observant of my environment and try to work peacefully with other school counselors. I believe that being more involved in professional training or conferences will help me gain more confidence in my abilities to do my job
