The energy whirls or energy points in the human body which receives, regulates and transmits the energy flow of it are known as the chakras. Chakra is a Sanskrit word which means a spinning wheel or a circle.

Many traditional Hindu writings suggest that there are nearly 90,000 points of Chakra throughout a person's body. Although, there are seven Chakras that are more important than all of the rest. These Chakras exist from the bottom of the spine all the way up to the top of the head.

These seven points are the base chakra, the sex chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the chakrra of the heart, the chakra of the throat, the chakra of the brow, and lastly the crown chakra. These points on our body take in energy from the people in our environment

Many people have bad habits where they try and forget about bad feelings that they had about events previously in their life. These buried emotions release toxins that effect our bodies all the way down to the cellular level.

This is why we need to deal with any emotional baggage as it can help us maintain the necessary balance of the chakras. This will influence the healing of the physical being.

You can help to keep your chakras balanced by doing such things as aroma therapy, color therapy, Reiki healing and you can even balance your chakras with the use of gemstones, a pendulum or crystals. You need to realize the importance of keeping a healthy balance in your chakras in order for your body to be working at its best.

The physical and breathing exercises that are performed in yoga is beneficial in maintaining the balance of the charkas of the body, many individuals enjoy attending yoga exercise classes.

Some other ways that we can heal our Chakras include mediation as well as guided visualization. These techniques can help to reduce stress and harness the power of the
