Chad Agnew's Case

On 09/30/2016, I, Chad Agnew, was working as a patrol officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. Cpt. Herl told me that he recieved an email from Oregon. He explained to me that they gave him a name of Thomas Matthew Jonas and they had cases with basically the same motive. He also told me that Jonas was banned from Wisconsin University and he travels around to different Universities. After reviewing some of the videos from the cases on campus, I noticed that our suspect was wearing the same shorts in two different incidents that were over a week apart. It appeared to me that the suspect might be homeless and I thought I would check Union Rescue Mission to see if he was staying there. At approxiametely 1526 hours, I went to the Union Rescue Mission at 2800 N. Hillside in Wichita Ks to follow up on 16C0558. When I arrived, I made contact with JAMES P. Zuideman took me into his office and sat down at his computer. He pulled up two different sheets on his computer and printed them off. He explained to me that Thomas Jonas last stayed the night there on 9/23/2016. He also showed me a picture that they took of them and printed it off. I told him that we had several cases that were made at WSU and he is a person of interest. He also shared with me that Jonas stayed there on 9/9/2016 and came from Iowa and he was originally from Oregon. I showed Zuideman pictures that we had of the person of interest and he told me that was Jonas. I asked him if he knew if Jonas was on foot, or if he had a bicycle. Zuideman told me that he didn't know how Jonas traveled and he didn't know how he got to Kansas.
