Chaco Side-Neck Turtle Essay

I chose the Chaco Side-Neck Turtle as my subject because I saw a television segment on rare and endangered turtles. I recently just learned that these turtles are not pronounced endangered, yet. The status of these turtles is “vulnerable”. I, of course wanted to learn more about this turtle so I started doing some research. The Chaco side-Neck Tuttle species name is an “Acanthochelys Pallidipectoris”. This Tuttle is a small to medium freshwater turtle that can be located in northern Argentina, southern Bolivia, and western Paraguay. The main threat that these turtles are dealing or suffering with is habitat loss. The area in which these turtles live is getting dryer and they need to be where the moisture is. I would create a sort of like a humidifier, this would make the air much more moist and less dry which is our goal. Other than helping these animals this humidifier will also make the air for people who live in the area less dry so that they can enjoy the outdoors more. I would like to work with the engineers from Dyson. Dyson is one of the best vacuum companies and they also create humidifier machines. We would need to create a humidifier probably as long as the Empire State Building and as wide as three average houses. For this project to actually work, I would need to find some way to create a dome shaped plastic covering that I would set the humidifier in. I would fins the sections the turtles live in and sort of create pipe lines, made of plastic that will send air to the multiple separate domes because there would only be one huge humidifier. Every 6 months for about two days I would open little holes inside the domes to help create the same air outside of the
