Cha'tima decided to go through his survival pouch one more time before it was time. It included all the weapons and herbs he needed to survive. Cha'tima realized his hunger and had to find food, so he climbed a tree and waited for it to come to him; as he had been taught by his father. After hours of waiting, a rabbit crossed his path. He took out his bow and drew back an arrow, took aim and shot. Cha'tima had a meal for the night. Now he just had to find a place to sleep, so he wondered until he came upon a hollowed tree. He made a fire with twigs and leaves to cook his meal. After he had eaten, he made a bed of leaves in the tree and went to sleep; he had gotten through day one.
When he woke the next morning, Cha'tima found himself thirsty. He had to find water, so he followed all the signs, wind and soil, until he came across a stream teaming with fish. He had found water and dinner! He cupped his hands and scooped some water to his mouth. Since it was nearly nightfall, he speared a fish and made a fire.
