This quote shows how people should worry about others and include other people's aspirations in their ambitions for their sake and their own, just like Cesar Chavez did. Cesar was born in Yuma, Texas in 1927 and died in 1993 in San Luis, Arizona. He is married to Helen Fabela and has eight children. Cesar Chaves did many things to fight for farmers and immigrants. Cesar began the boycott against grape growers in September 1965. They were fighting against the exploitation of farm workers. This lasted around 5 years and made a huge impact on grape growers' lives. The boycott was not only led by the NFWA but also the AWOC (A Filipino-American labor group). This strike became a nationwide boycott. “The boycott drew widespread support, thanks to the highly visible campaign headed by Chavez” (Union). As you can see, this boycott caught many people's attention, thanks to the Cesar Chavez leadership. He worked hard on convincing many people to join him; he even made sacrifices like his 25-day hunger strike, and the 340-mile trip from Dealino to Sacramento. With this in mind, Cesar made many sacrifices to help others and improve their way of living. Equally important besides the grape boycott, Cesar Chaves was also part of the 1,000 mile march.
