Cesar Chavez Leadership Qualities

When I think of a leader, some prominent name come about: Martin Luther King Jr., Cesar Chavez, Nelson Mandela, and Malala Yousafzai. These leaders have impeccable integrity and arduous competence, also, they’re tirelessly passionate and inspiringly visionary. My personal definition of leadership is: the ability to empower others to unify through the credibility of a person. The credibility of a leader is the vital reason for their followers; it is based on their integrity, competence, passion, and their visionary ability. When I think of integrity, the first thing that comes to mind is Cesar Chavez; he knew the horrible working conditions of farm workers, he has strong moral principles that led him to lead protests, boycotts and hunger strikes …show more content…
Moreover, the most passionate soul I have heard was Martin Luther King Jr.; the sincerity in his “I Have a Dream Speech” pulls at my heart strings. I can hear the frustration in his voice when he discusses the inequalities in America, it can fuel the energy for an entire nation. Through all the violence directed at him, the verbal abuse, the hate mail, it all only electrified his passion for change and became the cornerstone of the civil rights movement in the United States. The Civil Rights Movement flourished under him because of the pathos in his words, blacks and whites followed his powerful voice. MLK had some incredibly visionary ideas at the time, however, Malala Yousafzai is the new visionary in modern times. She is the new leader in female education activism and has beautiful visions to bring education to the millions of young poor kids who never have the opportunity to learn. She believes that education is a basic human right and if we could provide education for every child it would make the world a peaceful place. Her powerful ideas won her a Nobel Peace Prize, she has raised support because her ideas are incredibly necessary for the all of the world to
