Cervical cancer rates of Hispanic women are two times that of Caucasian women. Many presume this is due to the lack of regular gynecologic exams by the Hispanic. The American Cancer Society recommends that all women ages 21 to 30 get a pap screening annually and women over the age of 30 are to be screened every two to three years after they have had three negative pap smears in a row.
