When I grow up I want to be a baker. I want to be a baker because I love to bake and cook. My job responsibilities would be ensuring that cakes are baked at the proper temperature. Bakers must be familiar with the use of commercial mixing machines, ovens, and other large-scale baking equipment. Most bakers work in retail or commercial bakeries, restaurants, and grocery stores or specialty food stores. Work shifts often include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and sometimes holidays. A certified baker must have at least 4 years of work experience, and a certified master baker must have at least 8 years of experience. The average amount earned for being a baker is about $500 a week. Employment of bakers is projected to grow 6 percent
