Cerebrum Research Paper

The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain, while it’s connected with brain function such as thinking and doing actions. There are four sections to the cerebral cortex there is the Frontal lobe that is responsible for reasoning, planning, parts of speech, movement, emotions, and problem solving. Then there is the Parietal lobe, that is responsible for movement, orientation, recognition, perception of stimuli, Then the Occipital lobe that is responsible for visual processing, and the Temporal lobe is responsible for perception and recognition of auditory stimuli, memory, and speech. The cerebrum covers about two-thirds of the brain mass and lies over and around most of the structures of the brain. Also the cerebrum is involved with determining intelligence and determining personality.

The Cerebellum is located above right behind the brain stem, generally where the spinal cord meets with the brain. The Cerebellum is made up of two hemispheres. The cerebellum obtains information from the …show more content…
The three main parts of the brain stem are the Medulla oblongata, the Pons, and the Midbrain. The Medulla is responsible for breathing heart rate and the blood pressure. This part of the brain is endlessly making sure that we can to function without making us think about the processes. This part of the brain is also in control for making sure that the left part of the brain controls the right side of the body and vise versa. The Midbrain is the part that lets us react to information basically grabbing our attention to the sights or sounds. The Pons is the part of the brain is mainly responsible for the relaying of messages between the brain and the body. When we receive a message by our senses the pons will automatically send it to the most appropriate part of the brain.
