By writing this paper, I will illustrate the parallels between the famous Rockefeller family—specifically J.D. Rockefeller Jr.—and the mythic figure Prometheus of Greek mythology. I will also divulge on the parallels between both of their philanthropic actions for humanity, (although the Rockefellers have made more contributions to humans in New York City). For the conclusion, I will propose that Prometheus has been—and most likely will be—the most engaging model of philanthropy, which the Rockefeller family and one of its members, J.D. Rockefeller Jr., have taken as inspiration for their philanthropy. When I went to Rockefeller Plaza, it was a sunny and slightly windy day, and this is probably one of the best types of days to visit the site and its statue of Prometheus. I say this because of the several national flags that line the walls around the ice rink and above the gold statue, which had many ripples and contours as they flew in the wind.…

The Euwallacea was studied before, but observers were incorrect in identifying the species as the tea shot-hole borer (TSHB) E. fornaticus; but after further analysis, the species was renamed to the polyphagous shot-hole borer [4]. This newly named “polyphagous” shot hole borer—named polyphagous because of its ability to attack many different trees—has caused significant amounts of dieback and mortality of avocado trees [5]. As time passes, the PSHB infestation problem grows more urgent. The amount of infected trees is on the rise, and infection has spread to many different areas, including to the campus of the University of California, Irvine (UCI). The insect-fungus parasitism has infected hundreds of trees in Aldrich Park and threatens to…

Bangladesh, Egypt, Iraq, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Morocco and Oman made reservations to CEDAW, due to its contrary to Shari’a. While Algeria, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Turkey and Yemen made reservations to CEDAW due to religious justifications. And the most reserved article is Article 16 on marriage and family life.
