The main characteristic curves of centrifugal pumps are main characteristic curve, operating characteristic curves and constant efficiency curves. The main characteristic curve of a centrifugal pump composed of head, power and discharge and discharge to speed. If we keep speed as constant, the variation of power, manometric head and efficiency with respect to discharge gives the operating characteristic of centrifugal pump. For getting constant efficiency curve head vs discharge and efficiency vs discharge for different speed are …show more content…

His concept is called the Hydro-Electric Barrel, a floating water wheel that turns on top of a current to generate power using permanent magnet generators. Now, Lowery, a retired engineer and inventor, is looking for teams around the world to help develop prototypes.[3] From beach craft to generator, the idea started with a prototype of a light oneseater amphibious vehicle for recreation or rescue. It placed a driver between three large, plastic spinning spheres.…

The liquid fuel rocket was first created by Robert Goddard in 1926 in Auburn, Massachusetts. The idea for this invention cam from Robert Goddard being home schooled, and since he got a lot of free time he put that into exploring, experimenting, and wanting to explore space. To make the liquid fuel rocket first Goddard had to apply the scientific principle of the requirement of oxygen in space to create an explosion, making the need for more storage space for oxygen. Needing refrigeration to cool oxygen and turn into a liquid at -183 C (-297.4 F). Then he had to take gasoline and put that and the oxygen into fuel tanks.…
