Do you think that the World State is a good solution?
Mond’s description of family life and its problems is not accurate. Because he just sees the world in a negative way and doesn’t see the “bright side”. He does have a point that there is negativity in the world, but he doesn’t have an open mind in seeing things positive. I think that the World State is not a good solution because it is not “complex” enough. There is no options of ways to thinks.

On the other hand in Brave New World birth control is used because in their society having a natural born child is unacceptable and not allowed in their society if you want to stay there. An additional one of Huxley’s predictions of the future world was that women would have a form of birth control or prevention so they could have sexual interactions without having to worry about getting pregnant. Brave New World was written in the 1930’s when there wasn’t even an idea about making birth control, the women who didn’t want to have babies or have to worry had no other choice. In Brave New World Lenina says, ‘“ My baby, over and over again. ‘My baby, and oh, oh at my breast, the little hands, the hunger, and that unspeakable agonizing pleasure!…

The society’s citizens partake in sex regularly as if it means nothing. For example, Lenina has been with many men, and sadly these men want her for nothing more than her body. They are objectifying her as an object for sex, and they label her a piece of “meat.” (45) High school students are very impressionable. If a high school student reads that the society in Brave New World promotes the promiscuity of its citizens without any repercussions then what is to stop the high school student from participating in similar actions?…

Brave New World is a cautionary satire that illustrates the dangers of an over-controlled society by dictators who attempt to create a “utopia” created on the foundation of “Community, Identity, and Stability”. In order to achieve a “utopia”, World State deprives arts, religion, and relationships from their citizens. Huxley’s novel shows the negative effects of ignoring one of Golda Meir’s beliefs that “One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.” Meir uses denotative diction to suggest that the past is not an evil and is actually a necessity, even if it is different from the present. Today history books in classrooms are censoring major events in history, such as slavery, because it no longer…

The lack to form meaningful relationships with one other and personal feelings is already happening. Brave new world is what today’s society could look like in the future if this progresses. Huxley’s World State is dysfunctional because promiscuity has become more normal and encouraged through social influences, which is also evident in today’s overall society more than ever.…

According to The Overpopulation Question, each year there is an estimated number of five hundred twenty-nine thousand deaths of women due to pregnancy-related causes, approximately one every minute. The Overpopulation Question also indicates in most developing countries one in six married women prefer not to become pregnant, while using no form of contraception, because those women struggle to face “unmet need” such as financial stability, physical stability, and marital stability. For those who wish to not become pregnant, safe sex is recommended, but mistakes may happen. If the mother of the unborn child wishes to have an abortion due to an instability in the mother’s life, abortion should be allowed. By the illegalization of abortion mothers who become pregnant, who may be struggling with financial stability, physical stability, or relationship stability, will then suffer the overbearing responsibility of parenthood.…

Sexuality in the earlier years of the 1900s and years before was treated as taboo. It was wrong to talk about sex with anyone. Sex was even an off limit to researchers that was only until the later part of the twentieth century. But why did society hide from sexuality, when its theme is found so many times throughout our day? Before the twenty first century many saw sex as the single most difficult subject to discuss because most people feel embarrassed or insecure.…

Ted Talk Brave New World Jean Jacques Rousseau once said that every man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains. He pointed out that the line between freedom and slavery is a fine one, and how easy it sometimes blends into one. Are we really free, or have we been so conditioned into believing that we are that we have lost the meaning of freedom? Maybe we have inevitably enslaved ourselves, perhaps by the technology we use, or the lives we lead or even by the people around us. For instance, we all have the same goals in life do we not?…

The novel begins off with this idea of a dystopian world where the society, known as the World State, is based on this motto of "Community, Identity, and Stability." The engineered people of this society follow these qualities to the fullest extent. The procedure of this is achieved and maintained by the community of the people, however, the motto is arguable in the novel. In the Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, the idea of community, identity, and stability in the World State is proven to be wrong by the experiences of characters and the attempts to achieve their so-called "happiness" in society. All of society in the Brave New World is based on this thought of coming together as a community.…
