This land-locked country has an ongoing crisis of instability. According to BBC News (2015), It is an active war zone that has been unstable since its independence from France in 1960. The violence stems mostly from Muslim and Christian conflicts states The Guardian (2015). Many of the health professionals have fled and are not properly trained due to lack of infrastructure. Since September 2015 the city of Bangui had an uprising of violence that has led the MSF to increase its services. The MSF responded by providing more resources for this need. The MSF treats refugees in hospitals and mobile clinics placed through out the country. They provide vaccinations, wound and HIV care. Using transportation to transport people and goods (medical supplies and foods) by road can be a dangerous task. Medical vehicles have been known to be targeted and their items seized so much precaution is needed. To combat this the MSF uses planes to advert possible conflict from the ground.
Doctors without borders is a non-government organization that sets out to help others using their knowledge of medicine to help those in most need across the globe. This kind of work is very necessary for the victims in times of great unrest. The people of MSF risk danger in providing these resources which is highly commendable. The Central Republic of Africa is one of the most insecure nations in Africa and the humanitarian work done regardless of the persons beliefs, religion or background is a very important step to positively affecting the human rights of these individuals.
