Take slavery for example. In the seventeen to eightteen hundreds slaves were never allowed to read books. let alone learn how to read in the first place. Slave owners felt that if they alllowed them to do this then slaves would eventually revolt. They censored the slaves they owned as much as possible, in order to contain control over an entire race of people. This only proves the point that censorship in libraries would be terrible. You wouldnt only be able to not experience many viewpoints and opinons, you would probably have to leanr about someones own personal opinion. All that would do is limit your education, and if we do that tp future generations, then the world is headed down a very dark path. History has proven time and time again, that people who refuse to open themselves to new ideas, set themselves up for failure, whether it be racists, dictators, religious zealots, etc. If you dont try to accept new ideas and show other people these new ideas then you have blinded yourself and the people around
