United States citizens´early lives are centered around education. Starting at the age of 5 and ending at the age of 18, required schooling is all anyone knows. Both public schools and private schools are available in the U.S. as well as many higher education options. Residents of the United States are only required to go to school till they are 18 when they are eligible to drop out. However, jobs with a reasonable salary require at least a high school diploma and often a degree of some sort in higher education. Education is regulated by the Federal Government, but more closely mandated by State government. Even acts like "No Child Left Behind" ensure the performance and achievement of every student will have positive results.
