As kids we get our information from school, our parents and the news. We believe that the news we receive is credible so there is no thinking twice about it. Later on, we learn that not everyone tells the truth. In Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly we had the chance to see just a sliver of the hidden heros that won America the space race. Yet, in our textbooks there is no mention of them or others alike. It is critical that the authors of the past don’t use censorship.
