I think this is the theme of the novel because Fahrenheit 451 is set in a world where people aren’t encouraged to consume any thought-invoking or beneficial media. I believe censorship is a prominent theme in this book because people are prohibited from viewing books that are considered offensive. An example of censorship is the banning and burning of books. If any group of people didn’t like a book, It would be banned. The main character in the book, Montag, is a firefighter who burned down the libraries of people who possess banned books.
