The article showed us that the media source that they used back then for the media was coverage of the debate given to us through news reports. The article explains how we got the information as well as how we can receive the information incorrectly because we are only viewing from one source. For example, in the article “Competition and Commercial Media Bias” written by Andrea Blasco, they discuss how we are getting information sent to us as commercials so that the news stations receive money for sponsoring their products. They discovered that since a large proportion of news coverage on the computer is primarily ads, that the advertising companies are the ones who are controlling the media. Since the media is being run by the advertising industries they will hold the power to decide what goes on the television or computer, so they get to control what is being watched therefore there is no way of knowing what is reliable from them. This relates to the other research papers that were written by explaining how they are still receiving information the same way as before, but this article explained how we are being affected by not just the media coverage. They explained how there are now multiple other platforms that we get our news and how we are subject to listening to news that was primarily created by the people funding the news
