Then, I will discuss what I have gained from observing other teachers and how this has influenced my own teaching. Lastly, I will identify three ELT areas of knowledge and skills which I need further development in and give reasons for my choices.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
During CELTA, I have been able to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses. Concerning strengths, one of my positive characteristics is planning student-centered lessons. Some examples of those happened when learners were asked to describe one other

When observing lessons to A2 groups, among many detected aspects, three called my attention the most. The first one is how using images to convey meaning is crucial and how they help reduce TTT and cater for visual learners. Secondly, using everyday topics is vital since it helps students connect their lives to the class topics, making language graspable and meaningful. Moreover, providing students with plenty of opportunities to practice language in a controlled way is essential because the more controlled practice they get, the more confident they are in freer tasks. …show more content…
Regarding allocating time, I have problems when allotting more time for production if using the PPP model. According to Scrivener (277), allocating more time for production is chief because “a language teacher’s job is primarily to push, encourage and help learners to try using language” so that, afterwards, teachers can get feedback, correct errors, and help students get better. Concerning correcting errors, I am afraid of making students feel exposed when correcting them. However, Scrivener (298) points out that students need to know their errors since it “may raise their own awareness about the language they are using”. To conclude, I do not feel completely comfortable when integrating aspects of phonology in my class, which is a basic part of language because pronunciation mistakes can hinder

When grouping avatar teachers into three groups to form the best leadership teams, I used systematic choices when developing my heuristic. I started by looking at the three major data sources: (1) Leadership Qualities and Experience, (2) Beliefs about Reformed Teaching, and (3) Knowledge and Use of CCRS. From the three major data sources, I selected two types of data to assess strengths from each of the three major data sources. I also identified at least one type of data to identify concerns from each of the three major data sources. In Attachment 1, the types of data used to assess strengths and concerns for the nine avatar teachers are included in the table.…

The teachers must follow directions every step of the way according to the instructions given. Just as the teacher follows the direction the teacher also expects his or her students to the same thing. Being so the syllabus informs the students to follow the instruction's directions such as having discipline and to be on top of the assignments by checking the email constantly.
