The mobile phone has implemented as a type of “affective technology.” And this is deeply connected to the lives of cell phone user’s emotions. It’s also referred to a powerful tool for cyber –psychology. Studying mobile phone use, emotion regulation and well-being, researchers examined the use of mobile phones to regulate negative emotions, seeing both the role of different characteristics of phone use and individual differences in emotion regulation strategies. H1: Reappraisal will be connected with omitted interpersonal uses of phone (contact, social support) but not access to entertainment/information content. RQ1: How will suppression be associated with neglected uses/functions of the mobile phone? An online survey was designed for a total of 287 young adult smartphone users that addressed use of mobile phones for negative emotion regulation.
