In todays world technology is growing at a very rapid rate and people are constantly on their cell phone talking as well as gather information about others. People have become addicted to their cell phones and seem to live their everyday lives through them and do not know when to put their phones down. This has become a growing problem in the United States, so much so that people are on their cell phones while driving a motorized vehicle. Textinganddrivingsafety.com had found that, “text messaging makes a crash up to 23 times more likely”, they also came to find that, “dialing your cell phone puts you 2.8 times more at risk of a crash, Talking/listening has you 1.3 times more at risk, and reaching for a device is 1.4 times more dangerous.” (textinganddrivingsafety.com). Its not just cell phones that are the problem, partaking in other distractions while behind the wheel can have devastating consequences. Driving while on your distracted, takes a persons focus and attention off the road, which can lead to car accidents, and even death. Distracted driving is just as bad as driving while intoxicated, luckily there are ways to limit distracted driving to keep our roads safer.
