Cell Phones Anti Social Essay

Cell phones have become a very large portion of modern society. Today in America, about 91% of the population are cell phone users. We as a people have formed our lifestyles to depend on our cell phones. About 20 years ago cell phones were seen as a novelty, something we don't need, but now people see them as addicting as some narcotics. There is still researching being done on the subject of cell phones and how they are affecting our everyday lives, but I think the picture is very clear. Myself being a cell phone user, I don’t think I could willingly go a week without wanting to use my phone. As I have aged, I have noticed the shadow it has cast on my life, so I have reduced my use, even though I still believe I overuse. A study should in 2008 that 361 men who used their cell phone more often than the average person had a lower sperm count. Another study showed that children were more susceptible to cell phone radiation than adults due to thinner skin and bones and a higher water content in their tissues.

How can a cell phone make me anti social if I am using it to check my social media? That’s one of the main problems, people fail to realize that social media is everything but social.
