On a cold sunny day, I got the news that would change my life. A couple weeks before a family vacation to Canada, my parents decided to have my blood drawn and tested for a disease that makes you gluten intolerant. About halfway through that trip, in a loud food court, in a large shopping mall, my mom got a call from the doctor’s office.
