Celebrities Are Annoying People

Improved Essays
Celebrities are annoying people who has to have all the attention on themselves. In my opinion celebrities are not a big deal. They are just people who make a lot of money doing movies and songs. The world makes them a big deal because they come on televisions, radios, and magazines so they must be idolize. Just because they have talent does not mean everyone should give them attention and care about them. Celebrities are not god figures, they are not as important as middle and lower class, and people should not follow into their footsteps. Celebrities should not be treated like gods and goddesses. When celebrities are treated that way, they think they own the world and the people. Just because their song or movie is number one in the world …show more content…
People should do their own way to achieve things because some celebrities did unpleasant things to get where they are. One celebrity said when he went to prison he started to get into rapping and when he got out he found a label to sign him. He said if he never went to prison he would not be interested in starting a rapping career. Some people think if they have the same experience as that celebrity, they would also get famous. So many celebrities have not finished school because they think since they are famous they do not need school. Some people would drop out of school to focus on their singing or acting to get recognize by someone important. Their chances are one to a billion and wasting their time when they can be getting an education. Celebrities could have everything in the world but still not be happy with what they have. Some of the biggest celebrities committed suicide or overdose due to depression or drugs because they were not happy with what they have. So people following into their footsteps might be heading to same unfortunate fate. Ultimately, celebrities are entertainers but we find them amusing with their personal life. Secretly people enjoy how celebrities have problems with their lives, which makes them not have the perfect life like we seem to think. They would have issues like just anybody else in this world. If they did not exist then nobody is better than anybody. Celebrities are not god figures, they are not more important than middle and lower class, and people should not follow into their

In the article, Revenge of the Geeks by Alexandra Robinson, there are a lot of allusions to stars and their popularity in school, and how some of the biggest stars today were some of the least popular people in high school, and being different and embracing how different you may be will lead you to success someday. The author uses three different techniques to get her point across, one being the tone or her attitude toward the subject. “Taylor Swift’s classmates left the lunch table as soon as she sat down because they disdained her taste in music. Last year, the Grammy winner was the nation’s top-selling recording artist.” Robinson uses Taylor Swift’s story to make a point that a Grammy winner, a person who won one of the most prestigious…
