Cedar Point amusement park
Cedar Point amusement park is located in Sandusky, Ohio. This amusement park is known as one of the top roller coaster parks in the world. Cedar Park is also the second oldest amusement park in North America. This classic amusement park is located on Lake Erie Shore With Cedar Point’s history going back all the way to 1870. This park has a lot of history to it. In 1870 Cedar Point Peninsula was mostly used for hunting and fishing. This place was true to its name how it was thick with cedars. In the summer of 1870 a businessman and also a german immigrant, louis Zistel opened up a bathhouse, small beer garden and dance floor on the peninsula of Cedar Point. The Switchback Railway was the first thrilling ride. 25-foot-tall 10-mph scream machine attracted a lot of people and shaped the future of Cedar Point. Later on the years brought diverse rides, roller coasters, games, shows, and more. Many people played a big role in creating Cedar Park where more than 3 million guest visit every summer. The thrilling rides, great location right on the beach, and of course the friendly people that always have a huge smile on their face played a big role in the popular amusement park. George A. Boeckling added on to the peninsula with his hotels, restaurants, ballrooms and a midway featuring rides, games, skating rink, fortune tellers and other entertainment. In 1929 the wooden roller coaster Cyclone opened. due to poor condition the Cyclone was torn down in 1951. Beckoning passed so there was very few expansion done on the park. Until the late 1950s there was a huge investment of $1,200,000 for making the park more fresh, younger, and lively. This made it to where it's still attractive and fresh even to this
