CD-10-CM is a coding system that is used to report disease, injury, and other reasons for inpatient and outpatient encounters. I feel it will only get better and eventually you won't have to search under a certain topic for a code. It will eventually break them down for individual codes that can be used. We can prepare by learning and knowing what codes are for what. Keeping up on updates and new codes is a most in this field.
