Is Cave Art Art? Art to me is something that tells a story from your point of view. Its something that you have thought of and brought it to life. It doesn’t matter what it is or how it is drawn or created, its something that you can see along with being able to look at it and know that it is something you thought of. Art to me, you can use when your words fail you. You can draw something to symbolize what you are going through or have gone threw. Even when you are gone you always leave a piece of art you have created behind. To me a body can be considered a piece of art, because two people have created it, and you have made the art unique by making it yourself. Who are we to take away their work and consider it not art? They are not here to describe the many stories they have been through there is no writing of what has happened but only illustrations we can depend on. We can not discourage something …show more content…

The traditional view of art has changed over time just as most things have. Naturally, the act of perception has differed opinions on what society considers as art. Dance, paintings, photography, drawings, music, literature, and sculpting, are what comes to mind when contemplating the aspects of art. The limitation to defining a word so opinionated leaves out room for self-expression. The traditional ideas of what is considered art should be broadened; granted, although not tangible, art can be seen through ambitions, emotions, and expression through appearances when not limited to the customary definition.…

    1) Do we finish with the works of art that we undertake or do they finish with us? I think works of art finish with us. I think when it comes to art, it 's all subjective at the end of the day which means that everybody will take in art differently, but at the end of the day the art won 't feel the same forever. I have also gained an appreciation for the people that try to define what art is in general or more specifically what makes good art. We have read great thinkers and their philosophies on this, and the fact that even people of such great intelligence can disagree on the subject proves how challenging it can be. By reading the opinions of these great thinkers, and by discussing their thought with our class, I feel I am in a much better place as to define what makes good art myself. I define art as anything created by someone that inspires another to appreciation.…
