Causes Of The War Of 1812 Essay

When it comes to the War of 1812 there are many parties involved that you must take in to account. There are the British, the Indians, the French, Canada and the Americans. Among scholars there is much debate as to what the causes of the war had but to keep it simple you can look at a few different aspects and the results that this war had on all of the parties and the affects that they had. The War of 1812 may have only lasted a couple of years but we still include many of these aspect in our day to day lives. Firstly we need to address that the Napoleonic Wars and the involvement of the British and the French. This would play an important role before the War of 1812. With Napoleon in charge he was quite successful as a leader for the first decade or so of his reign, and so powerful he made himself Emperor. The importance that this plays on the War of 1812 is by the time Napoleon began expanding his reform across Europe in attempts to hurt Britain he in turn hurt himself and his own army.
