The people involved in the French Indian War were the French and the Natives teamed up against the British and the colonists and other Natives. The British forced the colonists to fight against the French and the other Natives. The Native Americans needed another strong force to take down their rival tribe. This war was a win-win situation for both of the armies because the French and British wanted to fight over territorial issues and the Natives also wanted to fight and wipe out the other rival tribe.

Both, the French and British claimed this land. They both wanted this land because it provided fur traders access to cities and ports along the East Coast. Then around 1753 the French living in Canada started to build a line of on land in the Ohio River Valley. The French built these forts to protect their land from the British. One of these forts was Fort Necessity; this was one of the first battles in the French Indian War. This battle was George Washington’s only military surrender.
