It is a common fact nowadays that most of the teenagers have tried smoking or have the habit of smoking cigarettes. Many teenagers argue that smoking helps them in dealing with stress and controlling their weight. One out of five teenagers who are addicted to cigarettes smoke 13 to 15 cigarettes a day [1]. However, a lot of people are against teenage smoking and it is illegal, therefore adults should cooperate to stop this increasing problem. There are various reasons that lead young adults to smoke cigarettes. First of all, teenagers state that smoking helps them deal with stress; they smoke whenever they face any kind of problem, when they’re angry, when they’re depressed and most of all when they have exams and tests. Teenagers who smoke aren’t aware of the danger they’re bringing upon themselves, and teenagers who are aware of that danger smoke anyway because they think they can’t quit since they are already addicted to it. The government, schools, merchants and parents should all cooperate together to stop this increasing problem among teenagers. The government should organize campaigns for this issue and discourage teenagers to smoke cigarettes and warn any merchant store that sells cigarettes to underage teenagers. As for the schools, they should be stricter about smoking in school grounds, and they should plan lectures for the students to help them realize and be aware of the dangerous risks that smoking can cause. Merchants should follow the rules that the government applies on them, and they shouldn’t accept any bribes from teenagers. Finally, parents should pay more attention to their kids, and they should know every move their teenagers make and all the friends they hang out with to prevent them of becoming a victim of peer-pressure. And for the parents who smoke, they should try quitting or not smoking in front of their kids, because by doing so they’re setting up a misguided example of how an adult should
