There are many different point of views when it comes to succeeding in a relationship. Some think that the key to succeeding in a relationship is communication, trust, support, and honesty. Others may think that the key to a successful relationship is to be entitled, showered in gifts, absolutely no fighting, and finding quick solutions to major problems. Nowadays, people aren’t willing to fight for what they want; when things get hard, they run.
Relationships, before my time, were completely different because each couple was a team. Couples worked through every rough patch in their relationship because they truly wanted to. An example of being supportive would be your spouse choosing to further her education by going back to college after 15 years; without support from her significant other it would be difficult for to fulfill her dream. This support can be shown by the spouse taking their child away from the house while she studies for her final exam. These few points explained above were reasons as to what some people thought caused a successful relationship.
Now, some people believe there are other causes to maintaining a successful relationship. Present people have an image set on the perfect relationship that they refer to as “relationship goals”.
