On Thursday, September 1st, a SpaceX rocket exploded while still on the launch pad of the Kennedy Space Center, in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Elon Musk has released statements saying that the cause of the accident has not been identified yet, however it occurred wile the propellant was being loaded. No one was injured, and, according to the Brevard County Emergency Management Director, Kimberly Prosser, “There are no hazards to the public.” When the rocket exploded, it shook nearby buildings and sent smoke into the sky that could be seen for miles. The Rocket was scheduled to launch a communications satellite into orbit above the equator. The satellite belonged to an Israeli company named Spacecom. Using the satellite would have been Facebook
