The three most important issues facing the United States of America today are gun control, police brutality, and minimum wage. The usage of guns in the United States of America is rapidly increasing throughout the years which is causing the death rate to go up as well. Police brutality has become an issue that we frequently hear about on the news today, it has plagued our society causing a large amount of anger in the general public. The Minimum-wage price today is far too low, making it extremely difficult to work on minimum wage alone and be able to afford to pay for basic living necessities. The conflicts between the police and the general public are creating an endless cycle of violence. The incidents of police brutality are causing anger within the people, causing groups to revolt and act violently against an officer when officers are trying to restrain them. During the year 2015, there were 385 police shootings, and of those incidents 365 of the victims were men and 20 were women. Of those 365 men, 171 were white, 100 black, 54 Hispanic, 6 Asian, 3 other, and 31 unknown. Of those 20 women, 9 were white, 5 black, 3 Hispanic, and 3 other. (Washington post) With so many police brutality incidents, it causes a percentage of the public to view officers in a negative manner. This is a large scale problem because of viewing officers that way, will only further cause problems for the general public. The number of guns owned in America have caused many fatalities and is creating the United states to become a less safe country to live in. The Police brutality incidents happening today, are causing the public to have very negative views on officers, this is a problem because of the actions some might choose to take as a result of this. With minimum-wage prices as low as they are today, it is becoming nearly impossible for a person to pay the necessities for a healthy lifestyle. Taking initiative and steps to solving these three problems, will further the Growth of the United States of
