Pressure brought on by peers Peer pressure has been a serious problem for decades. Peer pressure means the effect of friends on you. This problem stems from some serious causes such as wanting to become independent from their parents to be free, lack of self-efficacy and lack of self-esteem. Accordingly, such reasons usually lead to some bad consequences like smoking cigarettes, drug addiction and stressful interaction. Further, their essay discusses some previous solutions as talking to your best friends. This didn't work out because they will not be able to solve all your problems.
