There are too many mass shootings

I find it rather disturbing that every time I turn on the news there is a mass shooting or a murder. Too many bad people have guns. No one can tell once they sell a gun to someone what that person is going to do with it. We need to make fewer guns, raise gun prices, and ban more guns.
First, we need to ban guns to certain people because there are too many injuries and deaths to guns. 90 shooting incidents in america are in 2016, there is around 3 or 4 deaths or injuries in each shooting that's too much. I know there is 3 or 4 death or injuries because “Gun Violence Archive, which compiles data from shooting incidents, a "mass shooting" is any incident where four or more people are wounded or killed.” The

People need to start understanding that guns are not safe and that it is just an easy way to get people killed. People should also come together and solve this situation by agreeing to have more regulations on guns without putting too many limits. Some ways that it can benefit both sides is having gun buyers go through an intense background check so that it can prevent mass shootings that has tragically killed so many people. Other ways is by banning certain magazine capacities, and “long guns” referring to assault rifles & shotguns because those are the weapons that can kill a lot of people in matter of seconds. By having these regulations, hopefully people can live in peace without losing loved ones to gun…

As of today, there have been 3,269 gun related deaths in the United States and 12,818 gun related incidents. Fifty seven of those incidents were mass shootings, five hundred and forty were home invasions, and three hundred and ninety two were defensive use (Gun Violence Archive). Most guns used in shooting are stolen in some way or another and yet, we still think that taking away the ability to buy them will stop all of the gun violence. Guns are not going away; it is time to arm those able to carry, allow concealed carry on college campuses, and to realize that taking away guns will not stop the mass shootings.…

Public shootings or mass public killings have been an epidemic that our society as a whole has had to deal with since the beginning of time. Throughout all these events one thing has often been the same, they had planned it beforehand before they executed the deed. People seem to think that banning guns will in turn solve the conflict that we face currently but that is a very ill conceived notion. The solution to this problem is to enforce stronger gun laws and regulations. For example they should put a limit on purchasing guns without a background check to look for any mental instability and a gun ownership license.…

The only thing that banning guns would do is cause the criminal to have to look harder to find a gun, which in turn will make him or her even more frustrated. So, it is not the regulation of guns that needs to be changed. “There is only one way to stop killers from killing: Put them where they can’t get access to a gun, knife, explosives, car or any other lethal weapon”…

62% of the 31,000 deaths caused by a gun are suicides (Cornell 2). According to Arthur L. Kellerman, MD, “residents of homes where a gun is present are 5 times more likely to experience a suicide than residents of homes without guns” (A Case for Gun Control). I have experienced the effects of suicide within my own family. One month ago, my cousin Marisa committed suicide. In America, there is a growing perception that guns are: they are harmful, they kill, and they commit crimes, and so most guns should be banned. But, how can a gun kill or commit crimes; it is not a living thing, it is a tool. With the use of guns, America has grown to be a strong and independent country throughout history. The push to ban guns will only keep guns away from law abiding citizens since criminals, by nature, do not follow laws and respect the gun free zones. The banning of guns in America should end.…

Every time there is a mass shooting some people call the NRA and tell them there needs to be an increase in regulation for these guns so they can stop gun violence but what they don't understand is that guns have been around for so long that mostly everyone already owns a gun and once someone owns a gun you can't take it from them. If they completely banned guns I feel that would be much more dangerous as there will still be a black market for guns just like anything else that's illegal. Banning guns completely is a terrible idea because now if a robber gets his hands on a gun from the black market he can hold up any store around and what is the store owner going to do? All he will be able to do is call the police and hope he doesn't get shot. This is why I feel we should never ban guns completely because by doing that you really make everyone more likely to be hurt via a…

In recent years, a lot of debate had been going on about the laws pertaining to firearms. Unfortunately, with all of the mass shootings and killings being reported by the media, guns are given a bad reputation. Sadly, many people believe that they should be illegal because they are dangerous and can kill people, but what these people don’t realize is making them illegal will do a lot more harm than good. Guns have created a balance in society and if we were to take them away it could cause a lot of chaos which would result in more crime and more casualties. People deserve the right to bear arms because with proper training one could possibly save his/her life and also protect others.…
