Why the holocaust happened by Nazi The holocaust is one of the most horrific and specific events of twentieth century that happen by Nazi of Germany and more than six million Jewish people died. It happened between 1933 and 1945 during the World War II. Most of the victim group was Jewish. Almost from 10 Jewish people 7 of them were killed in Europe by Nazis group (BBC). If we bring etymology of holocaust , according to Oxford English Dictionary' the it comes via the Latin word holocaustum from the Greek holokaustos and is compound of holos means entire and kaustos means " burnt, red-hot" and holocaust something which entirely burnt(Garber and Zuckerman 3). That time in Germany there were many groups and many people from other ethnicity died by Nazi but the Jewish was the only group and the first tension for Nazi and Nazi by leading of Hitler wanted to kill the whole group because Hitler hated them and had discrimination against them(Shoah Resource center). It means that the first reason for killing of the people was being Jewish and being Jewish means the first target of Hitler. When a person was Jewish it means that she or he should die, no matter if she or he was healthy or sick and homosexual; being Jewish was enough reason to kill them. It shows the Hatred of Nazi from Jewish people in Germany and other countries as Jewish were killed in other European countries as well. The reasons of hatred of Nazi from Jewish were, defeat of Germany in World 1, the collapse of Germany economy and Russia revolution. In 1919 almost half of private banks, half of news papers and 80 percent of stores were running by Jewish in Germany and after that Germany faced with financial and other problems. (Hall).So means that Hitler blame them for these reasons as after World War 1 the Germany lost and their financial ruin the Germany faced with many problem as poverty and revolution. They were thinking that the Aryan race is the largest group and they are from Aryan group and this group is better than other so they were killing these people to make clean and pure the German people that had Aryan race (BBC). For mentally and physically disabled patient they used for euthanasia methods. National Identity and nationalism have created many conflicts and even the baggiest genocides had happen because of nationalism. What happened in Armenia in 1915 by Ottoman Empire is somehow similar to holocaust as both of them happened because of their national Identity. In Turkish the mass murder and genocide happened because those were not Turkish and as well, in Germany Nazi killed many people those who were not German.
