Depression in action/ and what Causes it Today there are many causes of depression, and researcher’s state there isn 't one cause to it. There also isn’t a reason to why the brain neurotransmitters are imbalanced during depression. However, it is very important for psychologist and researchers to understand the brain activity. Depression can come in either long term or short term. However, some common causes of depression today include PTSD, long term sickness, and stress. Researches have stated that when there is a cause to biochemical brain imbalance, there may be depression. There is a chemical imbalance in your brain that causes the reaction to depressed moods or symptoms. This cause isn 't understood by researches today, but it …show more content…
In good stress, were motivated and keep busy and love what we’re doing to keep busy. Unfortunately, too much stress can lead to chronic stress and depression. There are many factors that lead to stress and cause depression and some include, financial issues, family/relationships/marriage, or job loss. If someone is financially unstable at one point in their life whether supporting a family or being independent, its always stressful to know money is needed everywhere. It’s always going to be stressful in relationships or marriage. Although one spouse may feel different emotionally, its difficult and stressful to always work together, and sometimes can lead to break ups or divorce and leaves a person completely lonely or stress. Whether someone is experiencing this stress, they can result to depression if there not coping well. However, when we lose someone or go through life changing events, there is also Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This is a type of stress that leaves people traumatized to events that’s very hard to cope …show more content…
Knowing the risks and signs, it can be preventable. Risks include, attempts, family/ friend history of suicide, family violence, physical or sexual abuse can lead someone into depression and a high risk of suicide. Signs to observe in someone we may think is suicidal are clinical depression, self-harm, or having a mindset about death. “ Up to 15% of those who are clinically depressed die by suicide.” Stated in All about Depression web article. People who died of suicide are depressed and usually some dont bother asking for the help. It is understandable that getting help will make a person feel crazier to start treatment. So a question to ask ourselves would be any of these, do we feel Hopeless, tired, anger, fear and sadness, or possibly having suicidal thoughts? When someone is depressed, symptoms may very depending on that person. This can affect anyone physically or emotionally.
