Date rape is when a person has an acquaintance ,or partner, in which they go on dates or just one date and one of the members decide to force sexual activity on the other partner. It is common with teens because an abundant amount of teens go on dates and unfortunately there are numerous ways to “date rape” someone. The majority of women who have been “date raped” knew their assailant. In 1988, it was proven that eighty four percent of women who have been raped knew their assailant. This number has may be massive now but it doesn't stop there. Recent studies have shown that eighty five to ninety percent of rape victims knew their attackers.
