The Causes and Effects of Poverty Currently, poverty is one of the most disastrous problems in the world. There is a huge number of people that die every year due to the lack of good standards for living such as education, jobs, food, and health care. Many countries around the world have a variety of people who need help in order to have the ability to live in difficult circumstances. However, not many people from developed countries help these kinds of people who are in need. Poverty has a variety of causes, and it also has many negative effects. One of the most significant causes of poverty is a lack of education. While education is extremely important, there is a great number of people around the world who are not educated. People who do not go to school face many obstacles and hurdles in their lives. If people have high qualifications and complete their higher education, they will ensure themselves great jobs and higher wages. “The higher the level of education of population, lesser will the number of poor persons because education imparts knowledge and skills which is supportive in higher wages” (Awan, Malik, Sarwar, and Waqas 659). There is a strong relationship between education and reducing poverty levels because educated people can deal with a variety of problems in their societies.
