Cause and Effect The actions we take, and the things we do as a human being almost always depends on the situation we’re in. None of us would call ourselves habitual liars, but we lie on a daily basis, good or bad. We tend to think that lying could make the situation better, which is a huge reason why we do it. However, some lying can actually damage the entire situation as a whole, and actually make it many times worse than it originally was. One of many bad lies, is cheating. It’s fairly common to see others cheat or get cheated on, as sad as it sounds. It is quite common for people to think that cheating during an unhealthy relationship, may be harmless compared to the possibility of splitting apart while addressing the issue at hand. Cheating on a test or quiz is another great form of lying that can have a really good outcome, or a really bad outcome. Many people cheat on tests or homework or quizzes when they’re not supposed to. I’d be surprised if any one person has never cheated on some sort of test or quiz before. Looking over to your right at another person's paper for a quick second could seem so easy with such a positive outcome, that many are inclined to do it. However, if you do this, you’re a dishonest cheater. Whether you had a 59% in the class and needed the 60%, you are a cheater. However, people aren’t as offended when people cheat on a test verse when people cheat on another person. That’s because the lies have different outcomes. Cheating on a test has no affect on anyone else but yourself, and could have a positive impact on your future if done correctly, whereas cheating in a relationship is benefiting you, at the cost of hurting your significant
