Cause Of Global Warming Essay

Scientists have spent decades in search for the causes of global warming. Over the years, they have learned that global warming is due to the earth’s surface temperature. The earth’s surface temperature increases because greenhouse gases collect in the atmosphere. Ultimately, creating a shell around the earth that thickens, keeping in the sun’s deadly heat, causing the planet to heat up. In fact, there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere today than at any point in the last 800,000 years. President Obama has addressed climate change, stating, “There’s one issue that will define the contours of this century more dramatically than any other, and that is the urgent threat of a changing climate.” Global warming can lead to world destruction …show more content…
“The use of forests for fuel, both wood, for charcoal and other necessary lifestyle products cause deforestation. In order satiate ourselves, for wood and other products, mainly habitat and to build farms we are chopping forest which is not a good sign and has also lead to decrease in rainfalls.” The rain forest is not just a place for animals to live and survive. Rain forests are important and have a significant role in human survival too. The rain forest is human friendly. The forest is a great supply for fruits and vegetables. In fact, many of the crops help to prevent disease. The forest trees aid to purify the air because they remove and store carbon dioxide from the …show more content…
Earth Observatory: Where every day is Earth Day explains, “…aerosols now use hydrocarbons and compressed gases, such as nitrous oxide, as propellants. The chemicals are greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming… containing organic compounds that release ozone into the lower atmosphere and add to smog.” In other words, solar radiation causes aerosols to warm the air. Although they are small particles, together they have a vast impact on the earth. Since aerosols act as propellants, it means that aerosols have the ability to absorb sunlight and heat from the earth. All in all, the negatives of global warming outweigh the positives. Greenhouses and fossil fuels are ruing the ozone layer, the sea level is rising due to the earth warmth, and aerosols are containing the earth heat even more. Global warming is also decreasing the human water supply, creating fewer rice fields, more deaths in heatwaves, loss of 75% of the world’s polar bears, and marine life has a declining lifespan. Although, there are more negatives, people can still make Rascoe

When most people think of global warming, they think of just weather. Well I use to think global warming was just having to do with nature and the weather. By the end of this essay lets see what my view on global warming changes to. Well, global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the earths atmosphere, especially an increase great enough to make a change in the global climate. The rise of earths temperature is due to the increase in Carbon Dioxide (CO2).…

The reason why global warming occurs is, because of the rotation of the sun that continually changes the density of the sunlight. Another cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases are sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide it trap the solar heat rays and prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth. And according to (Lallanila, 2017) these greenhouse gases will make the earth's temperature increase. One more cause is volcanic eruption; for sure it will cause global warming.…

One particularly noticeable consequence is the temperature variations happening recently. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has predicted the temperature will increase by two and one-half to ten degrees Fahrenheit over the upcoming century. In 2007, a report, also constructed by the IPCC, stated the increase of the globally averaged temperatures since the mid-20th century is “very likely” (with ninety percent certainty) from humans. Global warming caused by humans has been increasing and intensifying heatwaves and droughts. Research found from a 2015 study concludes that seventy-five percent of unusual, extremely hot days are from human-induced warming.…

By definition, global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earths average surface temperature over the past century primarily due to the greenhouse gasses released by people burning fossil fuels (3). In other words, carbon dioxide and other global warming pollutants are collection in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the suns heat and causing the planet to heat up (7). All in all, global warming is one of the world’s most pressing problems (9). It cannot just be ignored. Human…

The Earth cools down by giving off a different form of energy, called infrared radiation. But before all this radiation can escape to outer space, greenhouse gases in the atmosphere absorb some of it, which makes the atmosphere warmer. As the atmosphere gets warmer, it makes the Earth 's surface warmer, too ( Guide to Global Climate Change ). This is why the greenhouse effect is one of the biggest causes to global warming , it increases the earth 's temperature very quickly. Some gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect include water vapor (H2O) , Methane (CHu) , Nitroxide (N2O) and The biggest one Carbon Dioxide (CO2).…

This is caused due to the interaction between the earth’s atmosphere and the radiation coming in from the sun. When solar radiation is radiated, it goes through the atmosphere, to the surface where is it absorbed and radiated again as heat. About ninety percent of gasses in the earth’s atmosphere is absorbed of heat of which is radiated back to the surface. This process is called the greenhouse effect. To continue, humans add a lot of extra gasses into the atmosphere, which warms up the whole place.…

The natural occurrence of this certain temperature due to certain gasses in the atmosphere was later known as “the natural greenhouse effect”. Considering that earth’s temperature was influenced by carbon dioxide, Arrehenius and scientist Thomas Chamberlin later focused on carbon dioxide and the use of it with humans. They developed the concept that human activities could affect global warming by their excessive use of carbon dioxide that would soon contribute to a heating in earth’s temperature. Even though it was years ago when they first discovered that human activities are a large factor in contributing to global warming, many recent studies have shown and proven that this concept is true and the temperatures are increasing like never before. According to (“How is Today’s...” ,n.d), “the global temperature rose a total of 4 to 7 degrees Celsius over about 5,000 years.…

Climate Change and Global Warming Humanity Greatest Threat Climate change and global warming are real. The world’s climate is changing, and the changes will have an enormous impact on the planet’s people, ecosystems, cities, and energy use. Average global air temperatures are already 1.5 degrees higher than they were at the start of the 20th century, and have risen about 1 degree over just the last 30 years. Scientists have discover some of the causes for these drastic changes. Greenhouse gases, according to scientists are the main culprit for climate changes.…

According to Alina Bradford “Scientists have documented the rise in average temperatures worldwide since the late 1800s. Earth 's average temperature has risen by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degrees Celsius). Moreover, the green house effect, which is cause by interaction between Earth 's atmosphere and incoming radiation from the sun. Humans activities are one of the main causes of greenhouse gases which occurs when humans activities introduce a lot of gases to the atmosphere, which means the more gas we use the more global warming.…
