What if I ask you to imagine a fish without water, can it live? Now imagine a man without earth. Can men survive? Environmental pollution has always been a problem but has become significantly troublesome after the industrial revolution in the 19th century (“Pollution issues”, 2016). No one person can be held accountable. However, the little things we choose to do every day can become a major threat to our planet in future. Our progress and achievements in the field of science, technology, and industry have brought us to the peaks of prosperity, but at a cost of not only our health but also brought the endangerment on the existence of our flora and fauna.

Even though we are living in a developed country, we are not safe from the pollution around us. Because of the everyday traffic jam, the air is heavily polluted, which leads to increase in the rate of respiratory problems, asthma, or lung cancer. In 2012, WHO estimated that about 14% deaths were due to lower respiratory infections, 14% deaths were due to lung cancer, and 72% of outdoor air pollution-related premature deaths were due to ischaemic heart disease and strokes (“World Health Organization”, 2016). Also, the smoke from the factories built in populated areas is increasing all sorts of skin, heart, and brain diseases. Not only that, the noise pollution has negative effects on hearing or auditory sense organs. It can also cause deafness, tiredness, and mental losses.
