In 2015, benzodiazepine was the cause of about 85% of drug related death. The data showed that benzodiazepine related death was caused by those who mixed other prescription drugs. About 41% of those deaths was due to the mixture of heroin. From 2014 and 2015, the death has increase about 21% a year. About 22% more women are overdosing compared to the 20% of men.
This information provides data that could be used to determine what type of treatment should be focused on based off the amount of death that occurred for a particular drug. You could see the increase of death throughout the years. Between 2010 and 2011, there were a huge decrease in death. Looking into what occurred during 2010 and 2011, could help to determined what worked
