Some ways Crohn's disease affects an individual's immune system are it causes inflammation to your GI tract by attacking your healthy cells, it makes your body produce antibodies to attack itself, it can also be the cause of IBD (irritable bowel disease). Some events that are caused by this disease are having diarrhea, not being able to gain much weight because you are not able to get many nutrients from your food since it all goes out in waste, you cold also experience vomiting, in turn losing more nutrients. Your body's immune system basically attacks healthy cells and turns it into an autoimmune disease so when it tries getting rid of bad cells in your gut, you actually are getting rid of the good ones
