Pancreatic cancer
Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. Cancer is a variety of diseases that are characterized by uncontrolled cell growth and possible destruction of surrounding normal cells. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified some 60 substances and processes as probably or definitely carcinogenic in humans. Some examples are as arsenic, asbestos, ionizing radiation, ultraviolet rays, x rays, and many derivatives of coal tar. Metastatic cancer is cancer that has spread from the place where it first started to another place in the body. A tumor formed by metastatic cancer cells is called a metastatic tumor or a metastasis. Pancreatic cancer is a severe form of cancer that affects the pancreas through the development of a tumor or other signs. Pancreatic cancer is caused by DNA mutations, and there are three ways that we can damage our DNA. We can be born with a DNA mutation inherited from our mother or father, we can do something, like smoking, that damages our DNA, or finally our DNA can be damaged by chance. If the tumor blocks the flow of bile, which is produced in the liver, jaundice (a yellowing of the skin) may occur. If the tumor blocks parts of the digestive system, problems such as nausea, vomiting, and other digestive problems, may result. Some of the most important warning signs or symptoms are pain in the abdominal area, discoloration of the skin, vomiting, and sudden weight loss. After some time has passed, the pancreatic tumor may also cause blood clotting and pain the back
