Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mark McGwire, Lyle Alzado, and many more has been affected by a problem facing athletes today.Steroids is an issue terrorizing professionals and influencing young competitors to gain an advantage to their competition due to the results of professionals in the big league.Steroids is an issue spreading silently across the nation as it ignore the problems that are causing the life of athletes as it triggers tragedy deaths, mood swings, and health problems but instead uses it for advantages in sports.
Steroids causes alot of harm to athletes, not just physically but mentally as it impacted professional athletes careers, families, and even lives of others along with themselves.

There is a program called (ATLAS) which stands for The Adolescents and Training to Avoid Steroids. Which benefits as it reduced the abuse of alcohol along with drugs like marijuana, along with the desire to less likely to use it. The ATLAS program is also with ATHENA and both are partnered with the Efrain Anthony Marrero Foundation, which is a non profit organization due to the memory of Efrain who took away his life three weeks after using steroids. The ATLAS program is a 7 week course where coaches and peer educators teach young male high school athletes about steroids. The physical effects along with mental effects which go towards long and short term effects of steroids, the program benefits athletes in other ways to build up shape inside their bodies as they do specific body workout which will develop the players instead of using a life causing
